My start menue items wont work anymore??

I cant figue it out!!
All of a sudden All my start menue items such as
Control Panel
Search
My Documents
My Pictures
My Music
My Computer
All of these I can not access anymore And also when I right click on
the Start
My explore wont work either
Can anyone help me??

I dont know what to do
I hate to do a complete restore with all my stuff on it
My restore points do not fix the problem either(they dont go back far
enough)
I hope someone can help me PLEASE!!

Begin with basic housekeeping - run "Disk Cleanup" then "Disk Defragmenter"
and then perform a thorough virus and spyware scan. You can check your
system files by running "sfc /scannow" (no quotes)
