my start menu KEEPS disapearing PLZ HELP

I have xp and i lock the start menu in place but it keeps
disapearing. plz email me instead of posting a reply THX
 
Try right clicking on a blank part of the Taskbar
select properties
Uncheck "Auto hide the Taskbar
Click OK
