My sound control, Games folder, and all the multimedia options are

After I did Disk Cleanup I lost all my sound controls after I installed
updates. I got 3 Windows XP updates, Windows Genuine advantage, A sound
Control update and more. I have none of the features listed in the topic of
thid thread. Can anyne hlep me out?

Try system restore to a known working point
Other than that, its possible that one of the updates messed wit
drivers or other settings. Try to make sure that you actually need a
update before installing it, sometimes it pays to follow the "i
it ain't broke, don't fix it" policy

Don't get hardware driver updates from windows update. Hardware drivers
should only be updated if you're having a problem which an update will
solve or the new driver has a feature you must have. Otherwise if it's
running ok leave it alone. If you need a driver update get it from the
device manufacturer's web site if it's retail, the computer manufacturer
if it's a a large OEM like HP, Dell, etc, or the motherboard
manufacturer's web site if the device is on the motherboard.

Do a system restore to before you did the updates and disk clean up.
