My screen is green!

When I start my computer the screen looks green...and after it starts up the
whole screen has like green lines throughout it! I don't know what is wrong
or how to solve the problem...someone please help!!

That's likely a monitor or cable problem. Unplug and then re-attach the
monitor cables. If that doesnt' help, borrow another monitor for a few
minutes; if the problem clears up, you're looking at replacing the monitor.
Repairs may be possible, but probaby are not worth it.

Consider getting a new LCD monitor; these use considerably less electricity
(directly and indirectly), less desk space, and are easier to move around.
I see new, quality 19" LCD monitors for around CDN$230.

The same applies. Most laptops have an external VGA connector; take the
laptop to another monitor and try it. It is quite possble that the display
is failing and may require service or replacement. Or, cabling is damaged
or loose. It isn't user-serviceable.

Unfortunately, unless it's under warranty, this can be costly as the display
is probably the single most expensive component. These are cheaper these
days, which has a lot to do with the drop in laptop prices.

You should be able to find a service depot that will evaluate the problem at
a reasonable cost.
