My right click function won't work

I copied a 2007 database. In the copied database I need to rename all of the
tables. Access won't allow me to right click on anything to pull up menus. I
couldn't even right click on a table to open it in design view.

What did I break?

Thanks

Sounds like the mouse. Can you right-click on anything else? Check the mouse
functionality in the Control Panel and see if you've inadvertently (or
Office 2007, or an update has inadvertently) changed a setting.

You could also open Access, go to the database window, click on Tools |
Startup and see if the shortcut menus are unchecked.

I should have clarified. The right click works for everything else, just not
in this particular database. It works in the other databases I have, but not
this one. ACK! Very frustrating.

Hi Jeff -

When I open the database, I see the following across the top "Home - Create
- External Data - Database Tools - Acrobat". I don't see where I can click
Tools | Startup anywhere. I also clicked on the Windows Logo Button at the
top left (I don't know the name of it) and went to Access Options. I don't
see there where I can change start up options either.

Do you have any futher suggestions where I should look?

Thanks -

I did find a button to turn on in the Access Options under the Office logo.
Under Current Database | Ribbon and Toolbar Options. I checked the box for
"Allow Default Shortcut Menus".

Voila - working!

Sorry 'bout that, where you find it depends on which version you are using.
