my printers drive will not install

hi!my printers drive will not install.here is how i do:1.I press in the
usb-cabel 2: i start my computer.3:then i read ¨new driver found¨in the right
corner.4:then it comes up a window there i read¨install¨ then a follow
everithing it stands.5:then it is install the drive but when it´s clear i
read¨error!an error come when you install. HELP! PS

You're doing it in the wrong order... you should install the driver BEFORE
connecting the printer to the PC.

You should always install the software on the supplied CD BEFORE connecting
your printer..

Disconnect the printer, uninstall any printer software, and reboot the
machine..

Now re-install the software, and only connect the printer when you get the
on screen instruction to do so..
