My Pictures Folder, photo editing program does not open now?

D

Donna Swisher

Hello to the group, I've got a small problem, I hope maybe someone can help
me with. I store my digital prints in a sub-folder in my pictures, Win XP
did this by fault. I have always been able to click on each picture to view
a bigger size, and then if I want open it in a edit program that I believe
may have come with either Win XP or my scanner, called ArcSoft Photo Studio.
This allows me to do what I want to with the photo. When I'm looking at the
larger photo on a filmstrip, the little blue and green box on the lower
right hand of the screen, all I had to do was click on it, and the photo
would open in this program. Now nothing happens, I can right click on the
picture and tell it what program I want, but that's a real pain to do for
each and every picture. Any ideas how to get the computer to know again, I
want to open all the pictures in my pictures folder with this editing
program?

Clear as mud, I'm sorry. Not sure what happened, maybe an auto update from
Microsoft, new program installed? Hard to say.
Please any suggestions?

Hi Donna,

I think you need to enable the common tasks in folders.

Open the Folder, click tools/folder options, on the general tab, select the
option to show common tasks in folders.

BTW, the Arcsofto photo software came with your scanner or bundled with the
PC, it's not part of WindowsXP.
