Photo Viewing

With my new PC, whenever I would open a photo from My Pictures it would
open in a window called Windows Picture Viewer or something like that (not
Widows Media Player.) Then I saw that my PC came with a program called MGI
PhotoSuite 8.1 that required installation to activate it. When I installed
it, it became the default photo viewer (it looks like the old Windows "Paint"
program) and I can't even find the original Windows viewer any more. I'm
afraid to uninstall the MGI program because it looks like I'll end up with no
viewer at all! How do I go back to the Windows viewer as the default, and
still keep the MGI program installed in case I want to use it for something
else?

Right-click on one of the image files and choose "Open With". It will give
you a choice of some programs, but at the bottom will be an option called
something like "Choose More Programs". Click that. This will take you to
the dialog box where you can choose the Windows Picture Viewer. Put a check
in the box that says to always use that program, Apply/OK out.
