My pictures are too big on the background wallpaper.

I try to put a picture on the background and it doesn't show the whole picture, it used to show the background colour and have that picture smaller so it would fit on the screen but i never see the background colour anymore because all the pictures are too big. I have changed the resolution to the smallest but I don't want the icons and folders to be smaller I just want the background wallpaper to be smaller.

Did you try Center instead of Stretch in Display Properties? I that
doesn't work, you'll have to resize the picture first using an
imaging program. If you don't have one, this is free and easy to
use.

I think have the same problem as Utahchick, I'd also like to add that if my picture is smaller than the screen, it won't stretch to fit the screen anymore. This is on the 'center' setting, not 'stretch'. The 'stretch' setting stretches pictures (that are not of wallpaper proportions) out of their original proportions. With 'center', it used to stretch the picture until either the length or the width of the picture touches the edge of the screen, then it stretches no more. In other words, the 'center' setting lets you display the biggest possible picture without stretching it out of proportions. Now, the problem is, the 'center' setting doesn't stretch small pictures anymore. The picture just sits there in the middle of the screen, small and little... Any ideas?
