My PC would boot only after 5 min

I

info

Hi there
I have this continuous problem with my Philips MT1300 pc. I cannot get
into Bios at all, if I turn it on, it would keep the Philips screen
for 5 min then would boot and load windows ok.
I have removed the hard and cd-rom cables...the same time.
Sometimes works ok, but sometimes is a really pain.
I've recently changed the Video card as I had some problems with it.
The time to boot increased and my system was freezing at any time so
had to reboot from on/off button.(the 5 min waiting time was existing
prior to this change) When it was freezing...I could hear a metal
clink sound in my Hard disk - so I suppose my hard is going to crash
soon.
After 2 days of freezing like that not is just the same 5 min waiting.
Fans work ok, I have no Network Controller and PCI Simple
Communications Controller installed as I do not know where to take
them from (that's a yellow question mark at Other Devices in Computer
management)

So I have changed my Video Card,...now I have to change my motherboard
and my Hard disk.....I would better buy another PC this way:)

obviously, the issue
begins at the level
of initializing hardware.

maybe powersupply,
maybe cmos battery,
maybe ram.....

the clue is the
5 minute delay.

could be the time
being used to test
the ram by the cmos.

You know, I generally don't have any problem with what you say in your
replies, but I hate the way you say it. I can deal with more than
three to five words per line. Your posting style is causing me to
consider ignoring your posts altogether. I may be the only one that's
bothered by this, and if that's the case, it's truly MY problem. On
the the other hand, I may not be the only one. If you could give me a
half way reasonable reason why you do so, it might help me decide what
to do. Your replies cause me more scrolling than is necessary. JMHO.

your banter is humorous!!

lol.

my humble apologies
for the overuse
of your scroll wheel.

one can only imagine how
that middle finger of yours
might feel upon reading
my responses..

maybe eliminating your
use of superflous
keystrokes will make
this experience a bit
easier for you...

So sorry,
but your reply
did not
offer
any reasonable
explanation.

So, welcome
