My Outlook 2002 boots me out after opening the program

I have Microsoft Office 2000 and Outlook 2002, I have been using this for
some time now, and when I deleted Microsoft Works program I was able to open
Outlook but it came up with an error and booted me out of the program. Is
there a file that needs to be reinstalled or what kind of fix can I do. I
have the CD of Microsoft Office 2000 but I can not find a Outlook CD with
2002. I have tried the repair using the MS Office 2000 but did not work.
Can I use Outlook express again and will I have my contacts and email if I
import them back into Outlook Express.

You would need the OL cd to repair the installation
What err msg did it come up with? - maybe kinda important
