My network places slow in responding

I have 4 computers, all running XP, all networked
together. The main computer is the one for internet
connection and the other 3 use the main computer for
internet. When I need to access the network to bring up
the other 3 computers when I click on "My Network Places"
it is slow coming up on the main computer. I can go to
any of the other 3 computers and the screen comes up
immediately and I can access all the computers in the
network, but the main computer comes up slow and seems to
work slow too. If anyone has any suggestions it would be
helpful. Thanks in advance for the help. Ernie
 
i worked with online help and did a 'clean boot'...hope this helps...tootz
