Hi All, This is my first post here. I would like to organize the My Network
Places folder by creating either custom groups or subfolders within it. I
haven't found any info on this. Is this sort of thing possible?
AFAIK, you can't do what you want with Network Places. A better solution
would be to create a folder on your desktop cleverly called something
like "Network". Then create whatever folders you want in there, using
whatever organizational structure suits you and make shortcuts to
network resources in them. Use the Search [for computers on the network]
function to find network shares. Right-click the shares you want and
drag to the appropriate folder in your "Network" folder. When you let go
of the right mouse button, choose "create shortcut".
