"My Network Places" + FTP + Unix FTP Server == no symlinks or dotfiles displayed

I am using Windows XP Pro SP1 and have sucessfully used the "Add Network Place" inside of "My Network Places" to connect to a Unix (Solaris) Server via ftp://host.domain.com. I can assign it my username and password and connect to the unix server without error. The problem I am having is that none of the "dotfiles" or ".somefilename" show up in the window, nor do any symlinks (we use symlinked directories to punch out of the chrooted ftp home). How can I add the ability to see these symlinks and dotfiles through the above interface? Any help would be great.

Hi, Jack -

Someone may jump in here and correct me but I think
you're gonna find you need an FTP client that's a little
more robust than Windows Explorer to view dotted files
and symlinks.

I haven't found any way to make them show up either :(

Sorry I didn't have a better answer -
