My messages are gone and I can't get new messages!

I linked my web-based school email to Windows Mail. I put in the server info
and ports as instructed from my school email page, and everything seemed
fine. When Windows Mail checked for new messages, it downloaded every single
message (over 3000) from my online inbox and listed them all as unread. Now,
my online inbox has zero messages and it won't receive any new messages, they
all go to the Windows Mail inbox. This is a very bad thing because I
constantly check mail on school computers in labs and things. Help!!!

Try this - click on TOOLS (at the top of your mail page) then accounts,
highlight MAIL- select "properties " - click on "advanced tab.
go to the bottom of the page and check under the dDelivery" heading, "leave
a copy of message on server. check how many days you want it kept, then
check "remove from server when deleted from mail.

My provider suggested that I set that up and it's worked for me.
