My Log in and Shut down screen has changed.

My Log screen use to come up without stopping for a password now it has a
different welcome screen and say it can't log on. When I go to shut down
instead of the icons I get a drop down menu to select Shutdown Restart etc. I
have changed so much stuff because Mcafee new firewall caused my home network
a lot of grief. But I don't know what I did to change this Logon and Logoff
theme.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Skip,

If you are able to log into Windows (your first sentence gives me the
impression that you are unable to log into Windows, but then you mention the
Shutdown menu which gives me the impression that you ARE able to log into
Windows), open the User Accounts applet in Control Panel, click on the
"Change the way users log on or off" link under "Pick a task...", click in
the checkbox beside "Use the Welcome screen" to select it (and click in the
checkbox beside "Use Fast User Switching" to select it if desired) then
click on Apply Options button.
