MY INTERNET EXPLORER 6 WON'T WORK

MY INTERNET EXPLORER 6 KEEPS SAYING Microsoft Internet
Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN
THE PROGRAM HOW DO I FIX IT.

I have the SAME very annoying problem!!!
Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help us?????
I did look it up and all the info I got was to "smart tags
support" but I don't have that on my computer! So I can't
remove it. What can I do!
