My IE wont' open says Microsoft syntax error

My IE wont' open says Microsoft syntax error. My outlook
express works fine and MSN works just can't go to any web
sites???????Please help

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

Eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
