my hardisk or windows problem?

Dear all,

My windows cannot startup, when it display the windows XP logo, I heard
strange sound on my hardisk, but when I try to use chkdsk, it found fome USN
journal problem and fix it, then I can startup my winxp and can login and use
it, but few days after, the problem show up again, and use the same solution
to solve it

Is it my windows problem or my hardisk problem?

Please help me!!

An unusual sound from the hard drive is not normal and is not a windows
problem. Make sure you have a full and complete backup of all important
data - which you should have at all times anyway. You shouldn't wait for
imminent drive failure to do this. You should be prepared to replace the
drive. Download a drive diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's
web site. That will create a bootable floppy or CD. Boot from that and run
the diagnostics.
