Hello everyone

I just got 600+ bookmarks from my friend, and it just hates me checking each
link just to verify is it alive or not.

Is there any cool aplication which could do this....import my bookmarks and
check the links, and remove dead ones?

Hi Diofan - There are three free ones that I know of that handle this
nicely.

FavOrg (does other things too like finding and retaining FavIcons) will
verify your Favorite links: FavOrg 1.4 here:

http://www.gratilog.net/anglais/internet/favorg.zip
http://uk.geocities.com/personel44/files/favorg.zip

or Version 1.2 here:

http://www.liemar.com.br/construindoseusite/downloads/favorg.zip
http://www.themes.myqth.com/Downloads/favorg.zip

(still free at these links) which will allow you to save them permanently
in a different folder and re-associate your favorites with the stored icons.
(It will also verify whether your links in Favorites are stll good, BTW.)

If you want to read more about it first, go here:

Another is AMDeadlink, free, here:
http://www.webattack.com/get/amdeadlink.shtml

and lastly, CIP, free, here which will also check your HOSTS file and/or
save your check Favorites to your HOSTS file (for high speed local DNS
checks):
http://www.webattack.com/php/download.php?id=100774&app=cipfree&r=l (Be
careful with this one :) )

Hey everyone, thanks for suggestions. Unfortunately, 70% of those bookmarks were
dead, broken or whatever.
Anyway, question for all of you...do you guys upload backups of your favorites
somewhere. I havent seen it on pricelessware.org.
