[UPDATE] AM-DeadLink 2.8

H

Henry The Mole

AM-DeadLink detects dead links and duplicates in your Browser Bookmarks.
If a Bookmark has become unavailable you can verify it in the internal
preview and delete it from your Browser. Additionally you can download
FavIcons for all your Favorites and Bookmarks.

AM-Deadlink works with Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla and Firefox.

AM-DeadLink is Freeware!

What's new in 2.8:

[+] FavIcon download - new option: Override/Keep existing FavIcons
[+] FavIcons can be assigned manually
[+] Find Duplicates: Select all duplicates with a single click
[x] AM-DeadLink shows an error message if not all IE Favorites could be
loaded due to some Unicode restrictions
[x] AM-DeadLink no longer removes manually assigned FavIcons
automatically when a server/page doesn't have a FavIcon. FavIcons can
now only be removed with the "Delete FavIcons" command.
[+] If you don't work with the internal browser, then the "Open in
browser" command will open all selected bookmarks in the external
browser
[-] The status of the last check was lost when closing AM-DeadLink while
the duplicate view was active
[-] AM-DeadLink could hang in combination with nVidia graphic drivers
[-] AM-DeadLink could crash when aborting a check on some PCs (wininet
check technology only)
[-] Start maximized didn't work under Win2k under certain circumstances
[-] The "One level up" feature didn't work properly for URLs with
parameters (?param=...)
[-] Check was not finished properly in rare cases (concretely when a
windows dll hung)
Many smaller improvements and fixes

AM-DeadLink

for some unknown resons it drops dead very often... maybe
there is a problem with my virus-scanner, but by now I had
to "kill" it about 20 times during the last hour.
