My father's XP Pro is slowing down

His computer is taking a long time to boot up and he is runnign ACT
software which is a contact/address book type program. He has a lot of
contacts and that program is taking a long time to boot as well.

Any thoughts?

Having just recovered from the same problem, my suggestion--aside from
the usual software solutions of defragging, etc.--is to acquire more RAM.
