My Documents File

D

Doug

I have a Dell desk top running XP Pro that was not used for about 10 months.
I am trying to use it again but I cannot access any of the documents in the
MY DOCUMENTS folder.

I can access the files by using either Word or Excel or other programs and
they open fine. When I try to access them via the MY DOUMENTS folder they
will not open and I get a message saying the folder is not responding. When I
try to close the MY DOCUMENTS window the screen goes blank and then reloads.

Is there a solution for this issue?

Thanks.

Have you done any updates to Office recently, that may not have installed
correctly?

However, to access the files make a shortcut from the path in your
application (for example c:\program files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel for
Excel) and place the shortcut on your Desktop or in Start > Run or wherever
you want, make sure the path is correct and then open the files from the
shortcut.
