Up at 0500 & left home at 0530 to help a friend out loading some foodstuffs in to a massive shipping container!
Container due at 1030, arrived at 1230 and was not fit for purpose!
Now waiting on another one due at 1630.
That coupled with the fact we have to load by hand 25+ pallets.
Loading time about 3 hours!
Home time at this rate 2100.
But on the plus side i do have tomorrow off as well!!!!!!

Some pertinent queries arise from the above tale.

Why get up at 05:00 hours for a container arriving at 10:30?

I do hope the driver of the late and unsuitable container at least left the scene with a broken nose.

One cannot help but scratch one's grizzled bonce and wonder why a container must be filled with food, what type of food, how is the food packaged and where is it's eventual destination.

Enquiring minds need to know :)

But knowing our Feckit he will say he cannot say for he is bound by employment terms that quote as a reference the official secrets act and a Surbiton byelaw that prohibits disclosing container bound food types to the general public.

You know it makes sense :)

to answer your question fbs i must first ask you are your now writing for the daily mail?:p

early start due to travel & getting things ready etc you cant just shift 6tons of gear by hand without a bit of prep before hand! work not covered by any rules or regs as it was helping a mate out.

your mind does bring up some interesting thoughts and views fbs.
have you thought of helping the government out?
could just picture you as a whitehall sort of sir humphrey!

In a container?

Hope it has a long use-by date. :D

By 'eck as like our Feckit, tis a rum do you're having there.

Six tons? Six bleedin' tons of foodstuffs? That's a lot of mushy peas

These edible delights weren't stored in a lockup by any chance?
