my database does not appear when I try to access it

I use Access 2003 and am not linked to a network. Although I have an access
database file in my directory of 3-4MB when I try to open it it will not show
up. How do I get round this?
 
Hi Carole,

try pressing SHIFT while you open your file -- this bypasses your
initial code.

If that doesn't do it, open Access, then navigate to your file -- hold
SHIFT while you open it to bypass code

or put a shortcut to msaccess.exe in your sendto directory.. if
double-clicking doesn't work then you can right-click SendTo and it
will always open a new instance of access.
