Have you looked in the case.........maybe somebody stole it??
what the hell is your D drive...........HD.......CD...........DVD.........
look under device manager....is it listed....uninstall it and then reboot
1. Double-click on Control Panel.
2. Double-click on System. If it is not there, click Performance and
Maintenance. Then click on system.
3. Go to the hardware tab.
4. Click Device Manager.
5. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives. If not there, Windows is not detecting it at
all. Do not follow any more steps. Go to a computer shop and ask them to
take the computer apart and check the DVD drive.
6. Right-click the drive that isn't working.
7. Click uninstall.
8. Click OK.
9. Restart your computer.
10. It should be back.
Let me know if it helps
