My Computer

The My Computer icon has gone from my desktop, how do i
get it back

right click Desktop->Properties->Desktop Tab->Customize Desktop and
check my computer.

If it was there previously, you might try using System Restore to take you
back to a time prior to when this started. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

Falling that, right click blank space on your desktop, select properties, go
to the Desktop tab, click Customize desktop, place a check next to "My
Computer" and click OK. If it is selected, remove the check, click OK, then
check it and click OK.
