my computer

i was wondering if anyone could help when i go into my computer and go to go
in c drive, E drive and some folders i click on them to open the search
result folder opens and the only way i can open them is rick click which is
so anoying for when you put a disc in instead of opening you have to go in
and open it and i have only had the computer for 1/2 months it is a compaq
computer running windows xp 2 compaq cannot help me so if anyone can help i
would like it. i have tried system restore and other things to no avail
