My Computer

Anthony

When I click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop the
windows open, but is blank and hangs. If I go in through
Windows Explorer I can browse all folders, but when I
click on the MY Computer icon at the top of the tree I get
the same results. No Drives and a blank screen. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have, or did you once have, removeable media attached to your system.
I'm thinking along the lines of a Iomega JAZ or ZIP drive. Another thing
that may pose a problem would be attaching a digital camera and using an
application to browse and open images right off the camera's memory without
first transferring the images to the hard drive.

Either way, one 'free' action you can take is to use Add/Remove Hardware
from the control to re-scan your system for new hardware.
