When I go to restart, windows shuts down but it doesn't restart but the computer is still on.(I mean the power) the monitor isn't on and the POST doesn't happen either. how can i fix that?
How do you know that it does not post and load if the monitor does not come
on ? I have had this happen. Display card problem , no signal to monitor.
Whether this is your problem , I do not know. There are also other sources
that can cause your problem. You do say restart , which means the system
works sometimes . Please be specific . Jym

when it does the POST it usually beeps and it doesn't beep when i restart. when windows xp pro is on, i click start then shut down and then restart. thats when everything goes off but it doesn't come back on.
