My Computer suddenly shutdown

This has happened before; it occurs every few months, actually. I am doing something-- online, or using Microsoft Works-- and suddenly the screen goes black and the computer shuts off. There is no warning of any kind, no message. Does anyone know why this happens?
 
Hi

Right click on My Computer, select Properties and the Advanced tab. Click
on Startup and Recovery>Settings and uncheck 'Automatically Restart'. Next
time have the same problem can you please post back the Stop Code that
accompanies the BSOD?
