"My Computer" icon disappeared with Classic setting

I was moving the "My Computer" icon on the Desktop in
Classic setting, and it disappeared. In the normal XP
setting, "My Computer" is in the Start menu, and there is
a choice in the Control Panel to display it on the
Desktop, which I can do, but whenever I go back to
Classic setting the icon goes away.

Wild guess: it's there, but off the screen. Right click
the desktop, and choose AutoArrange...
