Missing Icon.

Hi all. I used to have a "My Computer Icon" on the desktop.

I am running in Classic Menu mode (and have been for about 8 months). Now
the Icon is gone (don't know why - most likely hid delete...).

If I go to CP -> Create Shortcut for my computer, I cannot view the property
sheets as I used to. This makes sense as it just a short cut.

So how can I Show my computer on the desktop again.

ps: If I go to XP mode, it works fine, but when I switch back to Classic
mode - oops she gone again.

Thanks.

From a blank area of the desktop, right click

properties
desktop
customize desktop
check my computer

or,

Right click the start button, properties, switch it from classic start menu
to just start menu, THEN left click start and right click my computer and
show on desktop

My bad, I should have mentioned this in my earlier post. I did try this
earlier and the Desktop check box was selected.

SO, using my noodle a bit AND your suggestion, I removed the check box,
exited, came back in, turned it on and now all is well.

Thanks for the assist.
