My computer detected a worm how do i get rid of it?

my compouter has just detected a worm. W32.welchia.B.worm
and i cant repair it... wat should i do? is there any
thing that i could download to get rid of this? i am
currently using windows xp

Make sure you are running a firewall or you will keep
getting worms like this.
You can install the windows firewall but it does have its
limitations.
You can downlad and install a free firewall Zonealarm. Or
you could buy an package like Norton Internet Security
(which has a firewall,antivirus, popup blocker and more).

Be carfuel using something like ZoneAlarm if you are on a
network/LAN I have found it to be very incompatible as it
works too well and blocks access to the network.
