W32 Blaster Worm/ Cryptographic

Hi,

I recently done a system restore on my brothers computer, he is
running windows xp home. i back dated it before the W32 Blaster Worm
came out, and now he has got the worm. I have got rid of the worm
before on his computer and patched it, that was before i did the
system restore. And now it is letting me get rid of the Worm and its
registry files but when i try to install the patch it tells me it
cannot run because of something called cryptographic, and i have tryed
doing a winodws update as well but all it does is freeze.

Can u plz help me?
