My Comcast mail will not send

This problem just started yesterday. I can receive, but not send. I see
others are having this problem too. Is everyone using Vista? The message
I'm getting is:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Friday', Account:
'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Check out the following:

Comcast no longer uses port 25, they now use port 587.
Tools>accounts>your account>properties>advanced tab.

Thank you David, could you direct me to the www.comcast page that lists
those settings?

As you will see from my link, they do advise using 587.
 
Comcast is doing the port 25 shutdown gradually, by
geographic area.
But it doesn't hurt to switch to port 587 immediately.

: I followed the link under the posting for the comcast issue,
finally my sending is working. Do follow it
 
IT WORKED! HOORAY!!! However, I did need to make this adjustment on every
account under Vista.
