my cd rom / dvd burner drive wont work.

a weeks after i got the laptop my cd burner would not recognize a blank cd
ive tried everything different cds i have bought and the drive will also not
play or read acd rom but will play a dvd or music cd i have tried everything
i mean everything this is my last hope please help me i need anyones help?

What CD burning program are you using? Try re-installing the burner software
from the drivers disk.
