I just bought a brand new computer and it won't read any CD I put in the
DVD-RW (E:) drive. It hasn't worked since the first day I purchased the
computer. When I put a disk in, the computer's and the CD dive's
"processing" lights blink like the computer is trying to read the disc I
insert, but nothing begins to play automatically. Also, I try to acces the
CD through "My Computer" and the computer says there is no disc in the drive.
I also tried to acces the discs through PowerDVD player, and Windows Media
Player, and all of these programs said, "No disc in drive." The discs I used
were in great condition. I tried all types of media: games, music, DVD's.
What should I do????

Take it back. The DVD-RW drive may be faulty.

The same thing you would do if you bought a new car, but the motor dies.
You take it back. It is under warranty, isn't it?
