CD not recognised

My computer suddenyl won't let me copy any files to CD.
It brings up the message "No disc in Drive; please insert a recordable disc
into drive E".
It's the same brand I have always used and it worked a few days ago, but has
suddenyl stopped. Have tried CD-R and CD-RW, but neither work. Will read
files that are on discs, but will not let me copy.
Can anyone help me please?!

It could well be a faulty drive, the only solution is to buy a new one.
What do you use to copy files to CD, if it is windows explorer then right
click the drive and go to properties. Then look in the recording tab and
make sure the "Enable CD recording on this drive" is selected.
