Music with slideshow

I have Powerpoint 2003 and I cannot cannot figure out how to add music. I
want to make a slideshow that once I click begin the slides change
automatically and one song plays continuously. I know powerpoint pretty well
but after hours of trying to get this to work I am still stumped. Anyone who
can explain it to me will be my friend forlife. thanks.....
