music but no vocals

when I play music from my PC, the voice or singing is
suppressed or heard very faintly. The music is fine. I
know there has to be a setting somewhere doing this - but
just cannot find it. Please, someone, tell what
settting I need to adjust.

yes I have used the controls, Ty. As I said the music is
fine, clear, audible - its just the vocals are missing -
like karaoke

I did download DirectX awhile back. and I use Musicmatch
to play back ...

Check Windows Update (if you already haven't) and see if
there is something for you to download that will fix your
problem.

Hi
my pc is setup for automatic updates - it matter of fact
just brought down 2 nigts ago a number of general fixes.
So anything like that will have been in prior downloads.

Try ... start........all programs.........multi-channel

sound mgr.......click sound affects tab..........in the
karaoke box click click to make it blank and the voices
will return.. hope it works. John
