vocal track is missing

I am working with a downloaded mp3 file. I have 3
computers. All have WMP 9. Two have Windows XP and one
has windows ME. The music plays fine on the ME and one XP
machine but the vocal track is missing on one XP machine.
The instrumental track is fine. Everything else works
fine and I get no error messages.

I have no idea where to go with this one.

It's fixed. Apparently the issue was with my SIS 7018 sound card and a
feature named 3 D Now. I finally found an advanced setting on my speaker
control that enabled/disabled 3 D Now. Disbaled it allowed the CD to play
correctly. Enabled it effectivly killed the track. But now the switch just
gives a slight reduction in the sound level.
