I have been trying to work around a problem that I am
having with Xp booting up very I've practically replaced
very thing but the box and the keyboard and mouse and
monitor a power plug.

When I go into safe mode it scrolls throught all the
drivers and then hangs on mup.sys

IS there any way that I can fix this problem without having
to re-install windows Xp

Please does anyone have a solution to this problem

What I would try, which will fix up problems on hard disk that may be
the cause, is Set the BIOS to boot CD before Hard Disk. Boot the XP CD
and, instead of Setup, take the immediate R for Repair. Assume any
password requested is blank, and TAB over. and run the command

CHKDSK /F C:
