Munted Windows Movie Maker

Hi, does anyone have an explanation as to WMM, which used to work fine, but
now when I view my newly created/saved movies the colours are totally blown
out as though I have applied the 'Threshold" video effect, which I haven't. I
have the latest update and SP2 + XP home.
