Multiprocessor troubles please help.

one processor always shows 50% or more load even when the
computer is idle.
A nice gentlement pointed me to this article.
However, this article states the problem only happens with
certain motherboards and when they are set for ACPI.
I'm not sure what my board is, however, it is set for MPS
not ACPI and i still have this problem...

What can i do?
How can i find out if it is the motherboard at fault.

Update,
Many thanks go out to Mr. Rudy D. who turned me onto to
article, the fix for my problem was a bios update. And the
machine is now running wonderfully.
The windows article however did not mention my board as a
possible cause for the problem. I feel as if Microsoft
should update the article with the information I have
found for others who may have the same problem.
Is there any way I can go about doing this?

Hi Donald.

Im glad I could help.

The articles in the knowledge base are created by cases logged with the
Microsoft Support. I would say the best way to help people with the same
problem you had would be to keep an eye out for them on this news group. and
hey you might pick up a trick or 2 while you are searching the news groups I
know I have
