multiple window

I have problem opening new browser window. Everytime I
tried to open new window (cntrl-N), the new one opens and
the old one automatically closes. If there is a pop-up
window occurs, the current web pages automatically
closes. It doesn't allow me to open more than one web
window. I called the manufacturer and they told me to
reinstall the operating system. I did that and it still
did the same thing. Can anyone help?

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab.
Check the box, reuse windows for launching shortcuts.
