Multiple Svchost.exe 's in TaskMgr

I don't know how more than one got there but I have a
feeling it is what's locking my win2000 up occasionally.
When I try to stop any of them in TaskMgr it won't allow
me of course because it is being used. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks, Bill
