multiple outlook accounts problem with sent messages

I have a POP email account as my main account and I added a second
account - an MS Exchange account. I have everything working
beautifully but one odd thing. When I create a new email and say to
use the Exchange server all works fine except when I send it. It sends
fine but I save a copy of the sent message and when it saves it, it
goes to the POP Account Sent Items folder.

When I delete Email from my Exchange Inbox they go into the Exchange
Deleted folder so that works fine. It's just when I send from Exchange
it goes to the POP Account Sent Items folder. I do not have any rules
set up. Any ideas. I live with it but it would be nice to have it go
to the correct folder.

Thanks
Dawn

That's because you still have your PST selected as the delivery location
(bottom left of Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next).
When I delete Email from my Exchange Inbox they go into the Exchange
Deleted folder so that works fine.

Deleted items will always get placed in the Deleted Items folder of the
associated message store. Each message store will have its own Deleted
Items folder.

All POP and Exchange accounts within the same mail profile will all use the
same delivery location. If you have a PST selected as the delivery
location, all inbound messages will be placed in that Inbox and all outgoing
messages will be placed in that Sent Items (and go through that Outbox).
The active Calendar, Tasks, Journal, and Notes folders will also be in that
delivery location. If you have an Exchange account, you're better off
selecting the Exchange mailbox as the delivery location and using rules to
separate out messages using the POP account.
