Multiple Links - Possible to Change Source in one step?

Hi,

I've a created a PowerPoint master (template) document with about 40 links
to various sections of an Excel workbook.

I need to replicate this template (and its associated links) for 20
individual client reports. Each client PPT file needs to point to the
correct XLS document for the links to work properly.

However, I can't figure out how to update the link source in each
client-specific PPT file in an efficient manner. The "Edit-->Links-->Change
Source" button only works for one link at a time -- that would be way too
tedious fpr 40 links * 20 presentations...

Each of these reports will be dynamic, changing every quarter, so I can't
just use a single file that I resave with a new name every quarter.

--> Is there anyway to update my links in a single step??? Is there an easy
way to replicate a master PPT document 20x with the ability to easily change
the link source?

Thanks!
Brooke

Try this instead:

Put the PPT file and a copy of all the linked XLS files in a new folder.
Rename the folder the XLS files were originally in (or better yet copy them off
to CD then delete them from the original folder).

PowerPoint won't be able to find them in the original folder so it'll look in
the same folder as the PPT file and find the copies.

You can put however many sets you need in different folders and edit the XLS
files; PPT should update the links from the set of XLS in the same folder as
the PPT file you open in each case.
