I have a 15-20 slide PowerPoint 2007 file that has somewhere around 35-40 objects in it paste linked to the same excel 2007 file. When I open the PPTX file and choose update all links, PowerPoint opens the excel file in order to update each link even though the Excel source file is already open andlocated in the same folder as the PPTX file. This takes a very long time ... 10 minutes or so .. to perform all the link updates. This was not the case in MS Office 2003. Any ideas how to fix this? If the excel source file is open it should just update the links into PPTX without 'reopening' theexcel file for each link. thank you ..
